- The Birds, The Bees, The Trees, and the Rest
Bernd Heinrich is an internationally renowned biologist that has spent the last 35 years looking at the world around us and questioning the who, what, and where of why it is. Pioneering the field of physiological and behavioral ecology, he has discovered collaborative relationships in ravens, the social economies of bees, and opened new vistas into the complex relationships between flora and fauna. Far from the remote academic, Bernd Heinrich is famous for his enthusiastic, wide reaching, and outgoing explorations of natural questions. His profound insight, whimsical humor, incredible energy (he was also a pioneer of ultra-marathon running!), and unflinching desire to find out “Why”, have made him a charismatic and inspirational teacher and mentor.
Come spend a week with us, and be guided through a thoughtful examination of the world around us, and our place in it.
Bernd will be joining our All Star family with his wife, Rachael, daughter Lena, and son Eliot.
